  • Malcom Randall VAMC (Gainesville) Bed Tower A five-story, 245,000 square foot addition with 228 beds (4 floors of patient beds and 1 floor of specialty care and supporting services); Planned beds include: 118 for medical; 60 for surgical; and 48 for psychiatric admissions; All private rooms with private baths and space for family members.  Building activation scheduled for October 1, 2011.   
  • Malcom Randall VAMC (Gainesville) Parking Garage Multi-level parking garage will add 637 additional parking spaces (621 standard spaces; 16 motorcycle spaces); Construction began June 2010.  During the construction phase, approximately 250 existing surface parking lot spaces will be lost; Additional off-site, leased parking lots are available and shuttle transportation will continue to be provided to/from all off-site parking locations.  Completion date: Fall 2011. The planned parking garage should significantly improve the convenience of our Veteran patients and their families, whom we are proud to serve.   • Jacksonville OPC Replacement Clinic Construction began early August 2011 and is projected by VA Central Office to be complete in August 2012.
  • Tallahassee OPC Replacement Clinic Construction begins Fall 2011; Complete Construction: 2013.
