Services
The Ocala CBOC provides a broad range of general and specialized medical, psychiatric, nursing, and ancillary services. This clinic serves acute and chronically ill eligible veterans. Our veteran patient population requires a complexity of care that ranges from minor health care needs to chronic diseases. Veterans requiring hospitalization are assessed, stabilized and transferred to either local facilities or to the Gainesville or Lake City VA Medical Centers according to the urgency of their needs. Veterans in the Ocala CBOC are also able to access education sessions via Telehealth.

At I-75 Exit 352 make a left onto SR 40 East. Drive 4.2 miles and the Cascades Complex will be on the left. The clinic is located in the Cascades Complex.

The Ocala West Specialty Clinic provides Optometry services, a nationally recognized service for low vision patients, audiology services, and an optical shop.
Driving Directions to Ocala West
From I-75 get off at exit 350 and head East on SR 200. At 27th Avenue make a right go two traffic lights to 34th Street and make a left. Go one block to 26th Ave and make left turn. The specialty care clinic space is the first building on the right.
If you are coming up from The Villages on 441/301/27 head north into Ocala to SW 17th street and make a left. Go to the second traffic light or 19th Ave and make a left. At the second traffic light or 27th Ave make a left, go one light to 34th Street, and make a left onto 34th Avenue. Make the first left onto 26th Avenue. The specialty care clinic space is the first building on the right.

Additional Programs/Opportunities
Marion County Veterans Helping Veterans, Inc. Program
is a private, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization formed in 1997 for the purpose of assisting veterans. The organization currently contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist veterans through the use of volunteers and to act as an advocate on behalf of veterans. The organization evaluates and assesses the needs of veterans to assist in the appropriate referral to the VA and other agencies. There is limited financial assistance for needy veterans when funds are available. Additionally, the Veterans Helping Veterans program maintains and runs a scheduled transportation service to the VA Hospital in Gainesville from the VA Clinic in Ocala. Veterans Helping Veterans is partially funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, which is responsible for the program's administrative costs. All other expenses are funded by direct donations which are tax deductible. The organization is run by an Executive Director who is supervised by a distinguished Board of Directors comprised of veteran leaders in the community.
